Plisson House
It's been three years that the Plisson House has opened its doors on the east side of Paris. Located on Boulevard Beaumarchais, this upscale supermarket hosts a restaurant, grocery store, and a general food market.
For two years, founder Delphinie Plisson travelled through France and Europe with one idea in mind: to find vendors who take pride in honest farming and harvesting. This does not necessarily mean organic, but rather that the farming was done with respect to the soil, and that crops have no pesticides or additives.
As for the market, you will find meats and vegetables selected by a panel of five people, during a blind taste test. All grocery items such as cookies, jams, oils and dried fruits are also homemade. Last but not least, the restaurant is open from 9:30am to 9:00pm, from breakfast to dinner. The dishes are "unconventional", and only use ingredients from the market to avoid waste.
